American rapper, Kid Cudi has designed new space-inspired sneakers from scratch, and they are a must get. Just over after announcing a collaboration with Cudi, Adidas has revealed details on his Vadawam 326 shoe, which he named after his daughter.
The sneaker’s name is a sweet tribute to Cudi’s 10-year-old daughter Vada, whose birthday is March 26. The number 326, which the “Pursuit of Happiness” rapper also has tattooed on his neck, is stamped on each Vadawam shoe.
In addition to honouring Vada, the new sneakers also take design inspiration from one of the 36-year-old rapper’s favourite Adidas shoes, the Artillery Hi. Vadawam 326 features a mid-cut leather upper, three Velcro straps across the laces and a seemingly moon boot-inspired heel featuring the Adidas x Kid Cudi logo.
The style will initially be released in two colours: “core white” and “core black.” Both pairs will be available for purchase globally on Adidas.com and on the Confirmed app, while the “core white” version will also be carried by Foot Locker.
Cudi’s Adidas launch follows the release of his latest album, “Man on the Moon III: The Chosen,” on Friday. The shoes will be available starting December 17.
Positivity in life and sole.
Named after @KidCudi’s daughter Vada. A mash up of the future and the past. Kid Cudi built the Vadawam 326 from the ground up.
