Just a few days ago, your number one celebrity gossip portal published a story on the tragedy that has befallen unto Celine Dion’s home… the passing of her husband Rene Angelil.
Grief has stricken her to such an extent that she can’t do what she does best..singing! Not even a single tone at her husband’s funeral will come out from her mouth because she is still in the throes of grief.
News broke out that Celine would be performing at Rene’s funeral, but she quickly squashed them.
Her rep confirmed that it never crossed her mind to perform — but it’s possible one or two of her songs will play in the background.
As we know, most of the time, before someone passes on, they have wishes they need to be fulfilled.. according to Rene’s wishes, the ceremony will be held at Notre – Dame Basilica in Montreal where he and Celine got married 21 years ago, how sweet, but very sad as this will arouse a lot of memories for poor Celine.
The funeral will be broadcasted on 3 networks and flags will fly at half – staff – Rene was Canadian and well respected.
