Moja Love Slams MacG Over Misogynistic Comments About Minnie Dlamini

Moja Love has publicly condemned MacG following his disparaging and misogynistic remarks about media personality Minnie Dlamini, made during a recent episode of his show, Podcast and Chill.

The broadcaster labeled his comments as a harmful reinforcement of gender-based disrespect, warning of the damage such rhetoric causes in both media and society at large.

MacG sparked widespread outrage after mocking Minnie Dlamini’s recent breakup with Dr. Brian Monaisa. During the podcast, he questioned why she “can’t keep a man” and went further to speculate about her personal hygiene, offensively suggesting she might have body odour issues. The segment quickly drew backlash online, with many accusing MacG of crossing the line into cruel and degrading commentary.

“Such behaviour has no place in society and media specifically, where voices should uplift, not degrade,” said Nonzwakazi Cekete, Spokesperson and Media Liaison for Moja Love.

The channel emphasised its commitment to creating a respectful and inclusive media space, stating that it will not stand by in silence while public figures use their platforms to demean and dehumanise women. According to the statement, this kind of rhetoric does not exist in a vacuum—it actively shapes and reinforces a toxic culture that makes everyday sexism more acceptable.

“Misogyny on air doesn’t just harm the individuals targeted; it perpetuates a toxic culture that normalises the dehumanisation of women.”

Moja Love has taken a public stance against the comments, reaffirming its zero-tolerance policy for sexist language in broadcasting. The network called on broadcasters, content creators, and audiences to take shared responsibility in pushing back against harmful narratives.

“Media is designed to shape societal norms, and with that influence comes responsibility. To MacG and others who use their platforms carelessly: accountability is not optional.”

The channel closed its statement with a powerful reminder: “Respect isn’t a privilege, it’s a right.”
