Cassper Nyovest, who became a victim of rumour and anecdote after being reluctant to submit any of his music into this year’s South African Music Awards, has given gossip something to feed on by not attending the live TV broadcast of the SAMAs, simply because he was hosting and live-streaming his own house party.
On Saturday night, during the broadcasting of the prestigious SAMAs ceremony on SABC!, Cassper gave word to his fans for a peak into his house as he connected with them live via Facebook.
After the formalities of announcing the nominees, Cassper took to Twitter to say: “Thanks for all the love.. pls note we deliberately did NOT submit for these awards. I'll explain it all through my music. Stay blessed.”
In the midst of all his ‘’unruly’’ behaviour, Cassper did however score a nomination in the Best Collaboration category for Slyza Tsotsi.
In the video of the “house party,’’ Cassper’s guests are seen sitting in front of the big screen watching the SAMAs while commenting on the music show.
