Well it is without a doubt that 2017 is definitely the year of the throwback comeback.. speaking of which, Sisqo has bounced back with his 1999 club banger and R&B staple “Thong Song.”

For its official 2017 remix with Norwegian music trio JCY, Sisqó gives “Thong Song” the EDM pop treatment accompanied by a visual update as well.

It all goes down during a sexy night at the skating rink, complete with a collection of thong-laced ladies washed in neon pink and blue lights. Afterward, we’re taken to a familiar scene from the original “Thong Song” video — at the beach — as the ladies enjoy ordinary fun in the sun activities. The lyrics of the hit remain the same and not much has changed from Sisqó either, which we saw after he broke out his iconic dance moves with a troupe of hip-hop dancers.

But, as you know, the sequel’s never quite better than the original. So check out which version gets you jamming the hardest with the 1999 “Thong Song” and its new EDM makeover below.
