Nigerian producer Sarz partners with US-based United Masters

Nigerian music producer Sarz has scooped a huge partnership with American music distribution and artist services company United Masters.

Born Osabuohien Osaretin, the company has announced the news via a media statement indicating that the partnership with Sarz will empower emerging artists.

Music In Africa reports that the partnership comes after a similar agreement with Afrobeats label Mavin Records earlier this year.

Entertainment SA has learned that the deal also aims to use United Masters’ inclusive platform to equip the next generation of artists from the continent as well as offer brand, synchronisation, and artist services among others.

Sarz is a celebrated Nigerian creative who has worked with notable stars such as Wizkid, Drake, and Chris Brown, and he will extend the footprint of both partners to discover artists.

His focus will be to develop African markets such as Nigeria, Kenya, Ghana, Tanzania, and South Africa, among other countries in sub-Saharan Africa.

“Our goal is to become a bridge connecting global markets through our platform,” said United Masters founder and CEO Steve Stoute.

Stoute added that the Naija producer is gifted with an exceptional eye and ear for talent, he has an impressive track record, and is the ideal partner for them as they expand to Africa.

He explained the joint venture represents the first step towards achieving their mission of empowering independent artists at all steps of their careers globally.

Echoing Stoute’s sentiments, Sarz said his team has always been committed to supporting the development and empowerment of African music producers.

Also owning the Sarz Academy Foundation, he will also receive support through the collaboration.

ESA understands that United Masters is the brand or label behind Beat Exchange, a music platform that allows users to buy and sell beats.

In 2022, the American partnered with a crypto company, Coinbase to allow independent music artists to receive monetary payments in cryptocurrency through Coinbase’s payroll product.
