SABC 2’s flagship women’s talk show, Motswako has returned to the small screens this August, with Sechaba Gqeba as its host.
The show, which in 2020 celebrates its 20th season on the air, is a celebration of two decades of women supporting women: championing challenging conversations, changing lives, as well as educating and empowering women from all walks of life.
A seasoned radio personality, emcee, and voice-over artist, Sechaba Gqeba joined Motswako as its new presenter for the show’s 19th season in 2018.
A host-driven show, Motswako provides a platform for women to engage in conversation with each other; empowering, inspiring, and informing them whilst also giving them a platform to connect, learn and share.
With guests such as The Lazy Makoti, Amanda Dambuza, Lamiez Holworthy, and Dr Phumzile Mlambo Ngcuka, to name but a few, season 20 will be deliberate in being a platform that represents all types of women in society, regardless of race, sexuality or gender identity.
Filming, which took place during the national lockdown, was challenging, however, all involved – from production to guests – pulled out all the stops to make it a memorable season.
You catch season 20 of Motswako presented by Sechaba Gqeba Thursdays at 20:30 on SABC 2.
