Longtime best friends Hailey Bieber and Kendall Jenner join Precious Lee, who made her historic Versace runway debut earlier last year, for the brand’s Spring/Summer 2021 campaign, just out today.

Bieber is seasoned in the art of Versace surf chic. She draped herself across the Sardinian sands, wearing a glittering aquamarine crop top and mini skirt, for the label’s Dylan Turquoise campaign over the summer. The Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott-lensed spring/summer 2021 campaign sees Hailey hold her own in a fierce model line-up that also includes Mona Tougaard, Mica Argañaraz, Raphael Balzer and Simone Bricchi. Illuminated by droplets of saltwater, as per Donatella’s instruction, Bieber brings her Cali spirit to the super-soaked photo series.

The main focus of the campaign is not the reimagined iconic Tresor de la Mer motifs – which first featured on the spring/summer 1992 catwalk on Linda Evangelista, Naomi Campbell, Claudia Schiffer, Helena Christensen et al – but Versace’s new handbag: La Medusa. The ladylike top-handle style features a gold Medusa head front and centre – the mirror image of the plaque on the doors of the brand’s first headquarters in Milan – and a chunky chain for a pretty-tough effect. Available in lilac and turquoise hues that sing of holiday style, as well as practical black, consider La Medusa the ultimate beach bag – one begging to be seen at the clubs where Hailey and the Versace crew vacation.
