EntertainmentSA had recently published an article in February about Nicki Minaj hinting on pregnancy. We couldn’t help but wonder, has the iconic female MC finally fulfilled her wish of leaving the rap game and settling down for a family with her husband Kenneth Petty?

It didn’t take long after Nicki had posted images of her maternity photoshoot and social media went into a frenzy! Legit just a few minutes ago after Nicki posted on her Instagram and officially announced she’s pregnant, her images were on everyone’s timelines, even on WhatsApp statuses!

For those who don’t follow every single move Nicki makes, this may come as a surprise, but the Barbz has had a hunch for quite some time. Way back in February, E-SA reported that Nicki uploaded a video rubbing her stomach, which sparked major rumors. And when she released the “Trollz” music video and a bunch of behind-the-scenes pics in June, fans were convinced she was trying to hide her stomach.

But all that speculation can finally be put to rest because the picture she just posted speaks for itself. She also captioned it “#Preggers” for good measure. Nicki didn’t reveal her due date or whether she knows the sex of the baby, but she looks extremely happy and that’s all that matters right now.

In 2014, she told Complex, “[My biggest fear] is that I’ll become so consumed with work that I’ll forget to live my personal life to the fullest. If I’m done with my fifth album and I don’t have a child by then, no matter how much money I have, I would be disappointed, as a woman, because I feel like I was put here to be a mother.”

A month before Nicki married Kenneth Petty in October 2019, she announced she planned on retiring and starting a family. Though she later walked back her statement about retiring, she’s clearly following her dreams of having children.
