The American professional snowboarder and skateboarder, Shaun White recently sold his Malibu beach Craftsman for $8 million (R121,506,683M) and it is said that he didn’t really reach the pedestal with this sale.
The musician bought the Malibu home in 2016 for $10.75 million, and he had hopes for a larger return, rather than a loss with the sale. White was initially selling the coastal house for $12,750,000, but he dropped the price after the home stayed on the market and failed to attract a buyer. He lowered the price earlier this year to a more realistic $8,995,000, which brought him more in line with buyer expectations.
The beach house comes with three bedrooms, two bathrooms, and 2,164 square feet of living space, and it is set behind private gates on a bluff overlooking a pool and the Pacific below. Its open concept floor plan features hardwood floors, a fireplace and walls of windows with a terrace and water views.
The gourmet kitchen offers professional appliances and a built-in breakfast nook with views of the grounds and ocean. The bedrooms open directly to the outdoor spaces. The space also features a family room on the lower level. Outside, the yard comes with a covered terrace with built-in barbecue, lawns, a pool and spa. There is a two-car garage with a hook-up for an electric car and more than enough guest parking around out the property.
Apart from being a musician, White is a three-time Olympic gold medallist, and he holds the record for the most X-Games gold medals and the most Olympic gold medals won by a snowboarder. Aaron Kirman of Aaron Kirman Group at Compass and Chris Cortazzo at Compass represented White.
Was super excited about the first contest at Copper Mountain in December, but it was canceled due to covid. Frustrating … but people’s health is much more important. Looking forward to the next contest in Switzerland 🇨🇭 !! pic.twitter.com/uPi49Yk6uv
