For the past nine years, South Africans have come to know and associate Thapelo Mokoena as the “number one china” thanks to the iconic Hunter’s Dry campaign. However the partnership between the amazing actor, filmmaker and producer and the alcohol brand has come to an end.
Taking to social media, Thapelo shared with his followers that his partnership with Hunter’s Dry has come to an end. The filmmaker went on to thank the brand for their unwavering support and believe in him throughout the years.
“The Hunters Dry team outdid themselves today. This has got to be the most game changing experience of my life. 9 years of making the coolest & the most refreshing commercials has come to an end. I couldn't be more grateful to have been part of such a creative team for so long‚ possibly record breaking.”
Thapelo also added, that while his journey with the brand may be over; fans will soon be introduced to a “new china”. However he didn’t elaborate much on that, except for saying fans must wait to see the chinas new face.
We also can’t wait to find out exactly who this new face is and we wish both Thapelo and the brand well on their next adventures.
