One of Mzansi’s most-loved celebrities, Candice Swanepoel has an amazing 14,3 million followers on the gram, this feat makes her the most-followed SA celebrity on the platform.


The likes of Charlize Theron and Trevor Noah have more followers than her, but to play fair they are now considered Hollywood and not SA celebrity.

Taking the number-one spot by a wide margin is South African supermodel Candice Swanepoel, with 13,9-million followers! This blonde beauty is an internationally recognised supermodel who is best known for her work with lingerie superstar brand Victoria’s Secret.

Swanepoel has appeared in editorials in American, Italian, British, Spanish, German, Russian, Australian, Brazilian, Japanese, Korean, Chinese and Mexican Vogue; British, Italian and Chinese Elle; American and Korean Harper’s Bazaar; V, Allure and W.

South African cricket player and all-round family man AB de Villiers is the only sportsman to crack the top 10! The 35-year-old sports figure is a local and international favorite in the world of cricket.

Coming in at 5th Boity is just ahead of Minnie by a few thousand. As a self-described faithful believer and legend in the making, this South African celeb is making her mark on the local scene. In recent news it’s been confirmed that Boity is getting her own reality show in 2020 titled Own Your Throne.

Professionally known as Cassper Nyovest, Refiloe Maele Phoolo is a South Africa rapper, dance, songwriter, entrepreneur and record producer.
