Vogue UK has recognized actress Thuso Mbedu as one of eight actresses to look out for who are dominating the small screens currently.
She received her nod from the magazine for her role on Barry Jenkins’s adaptation of Amazon Prime’s The Underground Railroad, where she plays a lead actress.
Vogue believes that Thuso starring in the series will be massive for her and take her career to greater heights.
News of her bagging the role was welcomed with a lot of praises as this was a first for a black actress in South Africa.
The recognition has proven to be a huge honour for the 2017 International Emmy nominee, and she took to Instagram to acknowledge the approval.
