A shocking new piece of information has emerged last week in the Benoni Magistrate’s Court, pinning out that slain actor Dumi Masilela actually knew his killer!
The Sunday World reported yesterday that in a written confession by Sifundo Nkosi who was applying for bail in the Dumi murder case, it was revealed that the hijackers knew who they were targeting.
Magistrate Elmari Schutte shocked the courtroom when she read the statement which revealed that: “They knew the vehicle and knew Masilela”.

According to the article, Sifundo told police that they “usually don’t hijack vehicles of people they knew” but on that day, it was different.
“I drove until I was parallel to Dumisani’s car. Solly shouted and told me to stop and I stopped‚” said Sifundo in his statement.
Magistrate Schutte denied him bail.
The other two suspects, Khumbudzo Solomon Mukhuba and Bongani Masombuka‚ who is the alleged mastermind behind the hijacking‚ have not as yet applied for bail.
All three suspects will appear in court again on October 25.
Police are still searching for the other suspects, believed to be a total of six.
