Times are hard, we learn of job cuts and companies shutting down everyday amidst the coronavirus outbreak and countries calling for their citizens to stay in quarantine to curb the spread of the virus.
While most companies, including film and TV casting agencies are barely coping with the lockdown regulations, the Fergusons (Connie and Shona) have taken it upon them to help keep most of their actors jobs secured during these trying times.
We know this might come as a shock to many since not long ago, the couple was under fire for often getting rid of much-loved characters on The Queen.
Connie and Shona, who own Ferguson Films, did an Instagram Q and A where they were asked why they’ve gotten into this habit. The pair said it’s all just part of the business.
The couple has in fact been trying so hard to push for production even during these hard times just so Mzansi can stay entertained and actors can still put food on the table.
In a video posted on Shona’s Instagram timeline, different actors from The Queen and The River send their gratitude to the Fergusons for making it possible during these trying times.
