Zendaya still plans to look hot at home for the virtual 2020 Emmys

Zendaya is not about to let the pandemic put a damper on her style. COVID-19 may have killed the red carpet for now, but trust Zendaya to be on best-dressed lists, to lend some much-needed glamour to the proceedings.

In her interview on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” on Wednesday, the first-time Emmy nominee — who’s up for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series for her work on “Euphoria” — told guest host Ben Platt that she’s still planning to go all out with her outfit for the virtual awards show.

“I do want to dress up. I still want to have the experience,” Zendaya, 23, explained. “It’ll be probably just my family over here, but I definitely want to pull a look and maybe just walk my living room carpet.”

Suffice it to say the “Greatest Showman” star’s getup might be among the more formal ones on Emmys night. In a recent letter to acting nominees, the show’s producers wrote, “Our informal theme for the night is ‘come as you are but make an effort!’”

“If you want to be in formal wear, we’d love that, but equally if you’re in the UK and it’s 3 a.m., perhaps you want to be in designer pyjamas and record from your bed!,” the memo continued. “We want to work with you to style your moments, but want you to guide us on your levels of comfort — where you want to be, who you want to be with, what you want to wear etc.”

The ‘Neverland’ hit maker di not only talk about her planned at home look for the ceremony but also spoke about her Emmy nomination, how she found out about it, a possible return to production for “Euphoria,” and making a film in quarantine.
