Afrotainment is starting 2027 on a high note with the launch of a
brand-new music festival, DAY ONE FEST, taking place on 1 January 2027
at Greyville Racecourse in Durban. The 12-hour festival will run from
12:00 midday until midnight, giving music lovers a full day of live
performances, entertainment and good vibes as they welcome the new year.
The first phase of the lineup brings together some of South Africa’s
biggest and most exciting names across different sounds and generations.
Confirmed artists include SJAVA, AMI FAKU, ELAINE, NASTY C, ZEE NXUMALO,
DJ FRESH, YOUNG STUNNA, FEZA, PROFESSOR and MORDA.
The idea behind Day One Fest is simple: start the year with music,
friends and a proper celebration. Afrotainment is bringing together
artists from across the South African music scene, giving festivalgoers
the chance to experience a variety of sounds in one place, giving people
another reason to make Durban their destination after the festive
season.
The first phase lineup is only the beginning, with more artists and
details expected to be announced as the festival draws closer.
Day One Fest takes place on 1 January 2027 at Greyville Racecourse,
Durban, from 12:00 to 00:00.
