The river is calling, and the soundtrack to summer has just got even bigger. Up The Creek Music Festival has unveiled its Phase 2 artist announcement for 2027, adding another exciting wave of acts to the bill as anticipation builds for four unforgettable days on the banks of the Breede River this February.
Leading the latest wave are SAMA Award-Winning electronic duo GoodLuck, the much-loved South African outfit known for their infectious energy and dancefloor-ready performances; Boo!, bringing their distinctive alternative edge; and Dirty Texans (US), adding another dose of ‘local from across the pond’ live music flavour to the weekend.

The Phase 2 lineup has already welcomed Dave Ferguson, Tanner Wareham, Abby Nurock, Pink & Yellow, Tomas Kranenburg, The Groove Missionaries, The Saxby Twins, Dirty Disco Records, Teagan and VOLK, bringing even more variety, discovery and reasons to make the journey to the river.
Adding an extra dose of excitement to the 2027 celebrations, KONGOS are set to make a special homecoming to Up The Creek, returning from the US to take their place on the festival lineup. The internationally acclaimed, South African-born band, known for their distinctive sound and globally loved hits, will bring a particularly special moment to the river, reconnecting with homegrown fans in the festival setting that celebrates South African music, community and unforgettable live experiences. Their addition is another major highlight for 2027, making this year's gathering all the more unmissable.

All joining an already stellar first phase lineup featuring Arno Carstens, AKING, BCUC, Booshle G, Keanan Eksteen, Magé, SUGARBIRD, Dierbaar, Barto Swiegers, Pedro Barbosa, Georgetown and MaxX & Love, the latest announcement brings 13 additional names into the mix, further expanding the festival's celebration of South African live music and eclectic sounds.
With more than 50 acts set to perform across four days, Up The Creek 2027 is shaping up to deliver another packed programme of live music, unexpected discoveries and those once-in-a-summer moments that have made the festival a firm favourite on South Africa's music calendar.
What's your hot take on this story?
But, as any seasoned Creeker knows, the magic extends well beyond the stages. From river floats and campsite gatherings to dancing under the stars and cooling off in the Breede, Up The Creek is as much about the experience as it is about the music. It's a chance to unplug, reconnect and embrace summer in one of the Western Cape's most beautiful outdoor settings.
With more artists and festival announcements still to come, this is only another taste of what's in store for the river shore.
