Espacio Dios shares new single, I Am You, off upcoming new
album, Dios, out 30 October via Labelheaded. The inspiration came from a simple idea - “The
separation we create between ourselves and other people might not be as real as we think it is,”
Espacio shares. “The more I looked inward, the more I started seeing parts of myself in other
people. Their love, their pain, their ego, their fears, their contradiction etc... The title came from
that realisation I Am You. What I see in you exists somewhere within me too.”
A song that was written, produced and engineered by Espacio Dios himself, an intentional
choice that he made. “That was important to me because the song is very personal. Having
complete creative control allowed me to take the idea from its earliest form all the way through
the writing, production and final recording without having to dilute what I was trying to say.”
When it came to the visuals, Espacio entrusted Naleli Seseli from Nestfilms again to bring the
visual world of the album to life. “Working with her has been really special because she’s been
there throughout the creation of the songs, so she’s had a chance to experience the project as it
developed. It’s always interesting to me to see how she interprets the world I’m creating through
her own perspective. We can experience the same song or idea and see completely different
things in it and I think that tension between our perspectives has made the visual side of the

project really special.”
This is the fourth single shared off his upcoming 10-track album, Dios. Each single is a reflection
of what’s within. “The music is becoming a clearer reflection of who I am and what I’m trying to
communicate.” He’s been enjoying the journey leading up to the release of this project. “I Am
You is an important piece because it invites you to look inward. The album continues that
exploration in different ways. I’m not interested in making music that tells people what to think or
how to feel. I want to create something that opens a door and lets people experience
themselves through the music.”
“I’m looking forward to finally letting the full body of work exist outside of me,” Espacio shares.
“There’s been so much thought, time and intention behind this music and I’m excited for people
to experience it in their own way. More than anything, I’m looking forward to connecting with
people through the work and seeing what they find in it that I may not have even seen myself.”
