SERVA is an app that allows users to order food, drinks, and merchandise via their mobile phone, addressing long queues. The platform was designed to revolutionise high-density event experiences, including concerts and stadiums. SERVA aims to be the leading digital infrastructure for live entertainment and hospitality, handling high-frequency transactions in crowded venues. Even better, you would be surprised to learn who the founder is…

South African musician, JR.

JR Bogopa is the CEO and founder, with a team including Emanuel Mashele (CTO), Nehemiah Sikhosana (CPO), and Moihlobudi Moabelo (Chief Architect). The app was deployed in December 2025 at events in Pretoria and is described as fully bootstrapped. It operates as a solution, providing on-site ordering to reduce wait times at stadiums and venues.

Beyond the expected sneaker line or alcohol brand, it is quite adventurous when musicians and artists venture into the most unexpected avenues. This is very similar to when the City Girls (JT and Yung Miami) were starting to establish their own identities in the public eye, and people were surprised to see how much of a perfect fit JT is in the fashion world and expanding her identity beyond the rap scene. JT became so much of a fashion icon, that Rick Owens hosted her birthday party at his storefront in Miami.

It is a rarity in the South African music scene to see an artist explore ventures that depict a new side to their creativity. These outcomes are images of the artist’s dedication to cementing their legacy. The platform JR has established may be the first of its kind and is going to be a gamechanger.
