Swedish hypercar maker Koenigsegg Automotive AB could go public. According to a media report, the company, founded by Christian von Koenigsegg, is considering an initial public offering (IPO).
Last year, Koenigsegg transitioned into a public limited company. In 2024, more than 6% of the company was sold to Chieftain Capital Management in a deal valued at $58 million.
In a recent interview, CEO Halldora von Koenigsegg confirmed that an IPO is being considered, though no specific timeline has been established. “A listing could provide a broader range of funding options,” Halldora explained. “While we believe we can remain self-financed in the long run, unexpected opportunities may arise,” she added.
