Drake turned ladies’ night into payday, dropping over R16 million in cash and cars on women at his third annual Strong Women, Stronger Drinks event. The invite-only bash took place Tuesday night at Toronto’s Casa Loma, bringing together creators, entrepreneurs and business owners for what Drake called an evening to “change some lives.
“What we’ve done is sent out an invite list. All of you who are doing incredible things in your respective fields,” Drake told guests. “Whether you’re grinding or ascending to the moon, or somewhere in between. We hope that you can be social, talk to each other, learn from each other, and we have an incredible evening for you.”
The giveaways lived up to the hype. Ten women each walked away with R816 836,50 while six others scored R1 633 673 apiece. Drake also raffled off luxury cars, including G-Wagons and BMWs, with Toronto Raptors reporter Kayla Grey driving off in a Mercedes-Benz G-Wagon. Guests were also treated to Birkin bags and other lavish prizes, turning the night into what’s been dubbed Drake’s own version of an Oprah giveaway.
