Police have positively linked Katiso “KT” Molefe, the alleged mastermind behind the murder of Oupa John Sefoka — better known as DJ Sumbody — to the 2022 murder of Hector “DJ Vintos” Buthelezi. DJ Vintos was fatally shot outside a nightclub in Orlando East, Soweto.
According to SABC News, Molefe, along with three co-accused, appeared on July 29 at Alexandra Magistrate’s Court, north of Johannesburg, facing charges including murder, conspiracy to commit murder, and possession of unlicensed firearms and ammunition.
National police spokesperson Athlenda Mathe provided further details, “On the DJ Vintos case, we have all four accused, which includes the alleged mastermind, Katiso Molefe. For the Don Tindleni case, so far we have only linked the three hitmen — Katiso Molefe is not linked as of yet to that particular case. So, DJ Vintos has four accused, and Don Tindleni has three accused.”
