King Misuzulu KaZwelithini has officially concluded the traditional lobola negotiations for Princess Sihle Mdluli, marking an important milestone in their royal union. The ceremony took place at the Mdluli Royal Palace under the Mawewe Traditional Council in Komatipoort, Mpumalanga, where members of the Zulu Royal Household met with the Mdluli family to honour one of Africa’s most respected cultural traditions.
As part of the customary proceedings, King Misuzulu sent a senior royal delegation, accompanied by traditional leaders and royal praise singers, to present 70 head of cattle as lobola to the Mdluli Royal Family. The gesture symbolises respect, unity and the strengthening of ties between the Zulu Kingdom and the Mdluli royal lineage.
