Pharrell and Pusha T are putting a little more "grind" in the morning grind. The longtime collaborators have officially launched Grindin' Coffee, a new coffee brand powered by Italian roaster Lavazza and the name is no coincidence.
Grindin' Coffee takes its name from Clipse's iconic 2002 Neptunes-produced hit "Grindin'," the track that helped launch Pusha T and his brother Malice's now Grammy-winning careers. The idea for the brand first sprouted back in 2024, with roots tracing even further to the pandemic-era recording sessions for Pusha T's critically acclaimed 2022 album, "It's Almost Dry."
Speaking to GQ, Pusha T opened up about how personal the project is to him: "Grindin' Coffee is my baby. It is our pet project with Lavazza. And it is for the task-driven, for the get-up and go, the coffee drinker that has something to do, somewhere to be, and something to execute. I'm up at 5:00 AM every morning, even after a late night still 5:00 AM."
What's your hot take on this story?
For Pharrell and Pusha T, the venture is about far more than caffeine. The brand is built around the philosophy of hustle, designed for early risers, late-night studio sessions, and anyone whose creative process starts before the sun comes up. It's a fitting next step for two artists whose entire careers have been built on exactly that kind of relentless work ethic.
With Clipse also confirmed to be back in the studio working on new music with Pharrell, it looks like the grind in more ways than one is far from over.
