Rihanna Drive wasn’t always called that. The road, formerly known as Westbury New Road, is where Rihanna grew up in a modest yellow-and-green house just outside Bridgetown. It wasn’t until November 2017 that the Barbadian government officially renamed the street in her honour, cementing her status as one of the island’s most celebrated exports.
Now, years later, Rihanna is the one walking her own children down that same road. Sharing the moment on X, she reflected on just how far she’s come: “One minute I feel like that kid from Westbury… the next minute I’m bringing my own kids back to ‘Rihanna Drive.’ Trippy how life works!”
