On Sunday, 4 December 2025, the rising star took to Instagram Stories to address his female fanbase. Ngcukana said, “Hi ladies, a quick one. Because it’s getting out of hand. The entitlement needs to stay with your boyfriends, neh? Walking up to me, blocking my way to just stare at me, ain’t it.”

The rising actor also pleaded that South African women stop telling him to stop what he’s doing as it deprives them of his attention. Ngcukana kindly pleads that he is separated from the characters he plays on TV and that the lines are not blurred between his real life and his varying personas that he portrays on the screen.

His title as “the internet boyfriend”, dubbed by fans online in 2023, only adds more pressure to the harassment and unsettling nature of his new reality among his female fans.
