The first instalment in the series is a powerful sonic tribute to Afro Tech trailblazer DJ Shimza. Titled The Journalist – SHIMZA INTERVIEW, the mix artfully weaves together emotive soundscapes with select audio excerpts from their in-depth conversation. In the interview, Shimza opens up about the international rise of Afro Tech, the evolution of his pioneering label KUNYE, and the cultural impact of his standout events like U’R and KUNYE Live.
