Bonang Matheba bounces back with a new gig after leaving Metro FM!

Although she was never down (she’s Queen B after all), Bonang Matheba has bounced back with a new gig after leaving Metro FM about a month ago. After being with the station for three years, Bonang filed in her resignation after the SABC confirmed that Lerato Kganyago had joined the TV personality to co-host the Front Row show.

Since the pleas on social media for her to stay in the hosting game a were too high, Bonang seemed to have listened to the demands of her fans by landing a role as the host of a new Mzansi Magic cooking show, KFC Taste Kitchen.

Unlike other predictable cooking shows that only debut professional chefs showing their creative skills in the kitchen, this one will also add some home cooks to the slot.

The 13-week episodes show has 11 teams and 2 cooks competing against each other. The duo who will win the competition takes home a whooping R1 million.

The full prize package will be announced at a later stage. The participants are expected to cook original South African side dishes that complement KFC’s delicious original recipe chicken. The show will have interesting challenges testing the creativity of the cooks. The show will air on Mzansi Magic (DStv Channel 161) from 14 July to 10 October.

Congratz Bonang!
