Bringing together a carefully curated lineup of artists, State of Mind is an opportunity to experience music in a way that goes beyond the dance floor. The event places the focus on the collective experience - being present, discovering sounds together and sharing a moment with a community brought together by a common love for music.
The lineup features SUFFO, Earful Soul, Mamthug, AN.D, Mo-T, Shamiso, Atmos Wav (Atmos Blaq & Mpho.Wav), Vigro Deep and TETE with one more to be announced, bringing together a mix of talent for a night shaped by different sounds, perspectives and musical energies. With Thakzin at the helm, the intention is to create an experience that feels considered yet spontaneous, where each set contributes to the atmosphere and the crowd becomes part of the story.
Known for pushing creative boundaries through his music, Thakzin continues to explore the spaces where sound, culture and human connection meet. “For me, State of Mind is about creating a space where people can come together and really feel the music. It’s about the energy in the room, the connections people make and those moments that happen when everyone is completely present. I want people to walk away feeling like they were part of something special - something they experienced together,” says Thakzin.
While rooted in the evolving sounds of South African dance music, State of Mind leaves room for discovery, movement and the unexpected. It is a meeting point for different musical influences and personalities, united by the power of music to bring people together.
