South African DJ and producer Lebohang Maleke, better known as LebtoniQ, returns with his new 10-track album F4R THE POLOPIANS II, led by the focus track “Banomona” featuring Nto Musica and Sef Pico. The project was released through Soul Candi Records on Friday, 30 October 2026.
The album marks his first full-length release with the label and opens a new chapter in a journey shaped by deep house, collaboration and a clear commitment to making music that carries feeling without losing its place on the dancefloor.
Arriving four years after F4R The Polopians, the new project is not simply a continuation in name. It reflects the growth, experiences and lessons that have shaped LebtoniQ since the first instalment, while staying rooted in the warm, groove-led sound that has become central to his work.
Across the album, melodic piano lines meet warm percussion, hypnotic grooves and punchy basslines. The music moves comfortably between late-night introspection and peak-time dancefloor energy, giving the project a personal feel while keeping it direct, uplifting and built to move people.
A PERSONAL PROJECT MADE FOR THE DANCEFLOOR
F4R THE POLOPIANS II draws from LebtoniQ’s own journey and the different spaces he has moved through as an artist and as a person. There is reflection throughout the project, but it never becomes heavy or disconnected from the listener. Instead, each track turns feeling into rhythm, allowing the album to tell its story through movement as much as melody.
That balance gives the project its character. Some moments are patient, while others are designed for the point in the night when the room is fully locked into the music. There is plenty of emotion in the album, but it never loses sight of what it is there to do: make people move.
SOUTH AFRICAN COLLABORATION AT THE CENTRE
The album brings LebtoniQ together with a strong group of South African collaborators, including award-winning and nominated producers such as Oscar Mbo, C-Blak, Chymamusique, and Dark Horse, among others. Each contributor adds a different texture to the project, while LebtoniQ’s production keeps the album connected from beginning to end.
The collaborations also place F4R THE POLOPIANS II firmly within South Africa’s evolving house music landscape. It is a meeting point between established relationships, new creative energy and a shared understanding of the sound - showing how collaboration can broaden a project without taking away from the artist at its centre.
FROM F4R THE POLOPIANS TO PART II
LebtoniQ introduced the F4R The Polopians world in 2022 through a 14-track debut album that included numerous collaborations. The project established a foundation built around a deep and soulful house, while introducing listeners to the relationships and musical community surrounding his work.
Part II returns to that foundation with more experience behind it. The new album feels sharper in its direction and broader in its range, carrying familiar elements forward while giving LebtoniQ room to show where he is now. For existing listeners, it is a continuation of a story they already know. For new audiences, it offers a clear introduction to his sound and the world he is building around it.
