While some South Africans were finally relieved to see rain quench their thirsty land, others cried for help as floods swept away their valuable belongings, leaving nothing but ruined properties and other valuable assets.

Among those who cursed Wednesday’s rain is actress, Florence Masebe who took to social media to share pictures and videos of her flooded home.  

In one video, taken from her kitchen window, she wrote, "We watched our furniture float through the house."

Among the videos shared by the celebrity, one can spot what looks like a slipper, floating in her kitchen.

Meanwhile, the torrential rains have caused at least one death in Johannesburg with cars submerged on several city roads and highways‚ prompting widespread traffic gridlock.
