The Mega Millions lottery jackpot has soared to $1.02 billion.
Tuesday’s $830 million Mega Millions drawing yielded no winners for the lottery’s top prize, sending the jackpot soaring to $1.02 billion overall for the next drawing on Friday, July 29. It’s the third time in history that a Mega Millions jackpot has climbed into the 10-figure territory and is only the fourth billion-dollar lottery prize in U.S. history.
Although no one hit the jackpot Tuesday, some winners claimed big prizes. There were eight tickets that won $1 million each after matching the first five numbers.
The prize has been growing for more than three months. The odds of winning the mega jackpot is approximately one in 302.6 million, according to mega millions
The winning numbers from Tuesday’s drawing were 7, 29, 60, 63, 66 and the Mega Ball was 15.
The next Mega Millions drawing is this Friday, July 29 at 11 p.m. Eastern Time.
