Selena Gomez is no longer the third wheel in Brooklyn and Nicola Peltz Beckham’s dynamic. On January 13, Nicola, the Peltz heiress, posted a series of photos from her 29th birthday party, co-hosted by Gomez and her boyfriend Benny Blanco. Nicola mentioned that Blanco took charge of the cooking while all the guests, including Gomez’s little sister Gracie, enjoyed games in matching black pajama sets with white lining. The celebration featured a giant cake adorned with Nicola’s face.

Expressing her gratitude, Nicola wrote in the caption of her Instagram post, “I’m so grateful for all the beautiful and kind people in my life. All my best friends surprised me for my birthday with a PJ night, and we played games (my heaven!) Thank you all so much for making me feel so loved. I love you all so much, and thank you, Benny, for making the best food everrrr and you and Sel for hosting.”

Selena Gomez had playfully referred to her “throuple” with Brooklyn and Nicola Peltz Beckham since January of the previous year, with the trio celebrating their one-year “anniversary” in early December 2023. Brooklyn shared on The Jennifer Hudson Show in March, “[Gomez] says we’re a throuple. She’s such a sweet girl. I love when my wife makes new friends, especially really great friends. We all get along.”

However, the dynamics of their friendship have visibly shifted since Gomez secretly began dating music producer and fellow food enthusiast Benny Blanco over six months ago. Confirming the relationship through a series of Instagram comments in early December, she expressed that Blanco is “better than anyone I’ve ever been with.”

While some Selenators may still have reservations about the relationship, Blanco seems to seamlessly fit in with the people who matter most to Selena Gomez.
