The 14th of February is a beautiful day to spread love and fine dine, and ESA made sure to create that experience for one one lucky lady.
Entertainment SA ran a competition for one special lady to win a date with a media personality, and the personality that joined us in making someone’s day extra special was rapper Masedi. Before everything started, we caught up with Masedi to find out how he felt about the date, and he expressed excitement and that he was looking forward to it.
“I got a call about the date and I decided to go ahead with it. If I can spend some time getting to know a fan of my work then let’s make her day special”, said Masedi.
The winner’s was name Kamohelo Gumbi from Soweto, and ESA picked her up in a Porsche Boxster S to give her the luxury experience of riding in a convertible car. Upon arrival, the girl was warmly welcomed by the ESA team and was escorted to meet her date, Masedi.
Masedi greeted his beautiful date with a Valentine’s Day gift from goDaDo, which was a hamper of roses and a while teddy bear. The date took place at the eloquent Signature Restaurant in Morningside. There was absolute elegance everywhere.
Masedi and Kamohelo ordered their favourite dishes and got to know each other better. It also turned out that they have more in common than they thought. Kamo is an aspiring songwriter and Masedi promised to take her to the studio, and possibly collaborate on a song together.
At the end of the date, Entertainment SA caught up with Kamohelo to find out how her date went as she was in tears of joy. Kamohelo, said: “Everything was just perfect. This is a life changing competition. It’s something special. It’s good to make someone feel special for just that one day. Thank you guys,”
“The car that I was fetched with guys! A Porsche! Definitely definitely the car was a highlight. The restaurant! Masedi! The gift! This was the perfect date. I’d never been inside a Porsche, so you can imagine what I’m feeling right now. Thank you guys so much!”, said Kamohelo.
When asked about why she entered the competition to go on a date with Masedi, she said: “I grew up listening to Masedi when I was still in the Vaal a long time ago. I used to jam to his music a lot! So Masedi was my childhood star.”
