Braam is no longer safe. This is after two fatalities occurred in Braamfontein today as a result of a shooting incident, with two Wits University students sustaining injuries.

The violence reportedly began as a dispute possibly related to taxi matters but escalated when students from Wits University became unintended victims. These students were reportedly traveling on a bus near the site of the shooting when they were hit by stray bullets. They were promptly taken to the hospital for treatment.
