L’Oréal Paris has addressed the rumours of a new sub-Saharan Africa spokesperson in the form of media personality Bonang Matheba.

The word on the street was that Matheba was preparing take over from ‘The Woman King’ star Thuso Mbedu as the brand’s sub-Saharan Africa ambassador. But wait – L’Oréal Paris set the record straight, confirming that Mbedu still holds the title since her announcement last year.

“The brand hereby affirms that actress Thuso Mbedu remains the official sub-Saharan Africa spokesperson for L’Oréal Paris since the partnership was announced last year,” said the brand in a statement.

Mbedu stepped into the spotlight in May 2023 to add her unique flair to local ad campaigns, product launches, and public appearances. And hey, L’Oréal Paris isn’t about to drop the ball on their bond with Matheba either.
