The couple spilled the beans in an exclusive interview with Essence Magazine, revealing this major milestone in their relationship this week.
Ashanti couldn’t contain her joy, saying, “This new year of my life is such a blessing full of love, hope, and anticipation.” She’s thrilled about becoming a mom, especially sharing this journey with her family, her fiancé, and her loyal fans who’ve been there every step of the way.
Ashanti and Nelly’s road to parenthood has been a rollercoaster. They first started dating in 2003 but went their separate ways in 2013. Yet, destiny had other plans, and in 2023, they rekindled their love, sealing the deal with a sweet Instagram post on Ashanti’s birthday in October, confirming their reunion.
