The Forbes family isn’t exactly thrilled about the upcoming book by journalist Melinda Ferguson delving into the life of their late son, Kiernan “AKA” Forbes.
Titled “When Love Kills,” the book, set to hit shelves this month, explores the relationship between Anele Tembe and AKA. But Tony and Lynn Forbes want nothing to do with it. They’ve made it crystal clear that they’re keeping their distance from Ferguson’s project and refuse to endorse it.
In a candid statement, they mentioned, “We are not in any way associated with Melinda Ferguson’s book and we do not endorse it. We distance ourselves from the contents of the book.”
Ferguson, on the other hand, spilled the beans on social media, revealing the laborious process of bringing this story to light. She confessed, “I have never worked harder on a book… It’s a story that broke my heart.”
The drama surrounding AKA and Tembe’s tragic tale continues to unfold. Tembe’s untimely death shocked the nation when she fell from the 10th floor of a hotel in Cape Town last April, while AKA himself faced tragedy when he was shot dead outside a restaurant in February the previous year.
The saga’s twists and turns seem like something straight out of a suspense novel, with seven suspects apprehended in connection to the homicides. It’s a story that’s gripped the nation, leaving us all on the edge of our seats, waiting to see what happens next.
