Sello Maake KaNcube receives a PhD in Business Administration

As graduation season sweeps across the nation, celebrities are not missing out on the academic spotlight.

Legendary actor Sello Maake KaNcube recently joined the ranks of distinguished individuals, receiving a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Business Administration from Trinity International Bible University. The honour, however, was met with scrutiny due to the institution’s unregistered status.

Maake KaNcube proudly accepted his Doctorate alongside his Skeem Saam co-star Elizabeth Serunye, known for her role as Jacobeth Thobakgale. Serunye received an Honorary Doctorate in Philosophy from the same university, adding to the star-studded list of achievers.

Maake KaNcube, 64, currently gracing screens in Mzansi Magic’s telenovela “Champions,” was supported at the ceremony by his soon to be ex-wife, Pearl Mbewe Maake KaNcube, who shared her excitement on Facebook.

In a show of support, Bishop Abraham Sibiya of The Christ Centred Church congratulated Maake KaNcube, highlighting the actor’s remarkable journey.

The university has also recognized other notable figures, including gospel singer Winnie Mashaba and the late Deborah Fraser, with Honorary Doctorates, further extending the institution’s commitment to celebrating exceptional talent.
