Jonathan Anderson has done it again. The designer showed his newest Dior collection on Monday in Paris. The show took place at the Musée Rodin, under palm trees. This is Anderson’s second couture collection since he became Dior’s creative director in April 2025. This time he took ideas from American artist Lynda Benglis. He also drew on craft traditions from India and France.

The result was full of texture. There was fringe and flowers made by hand. Anderson’s style at Dior usually goes one of two ways: soft, flowing clothes, or clothes covered in rich detail. This collection went for the second style by turning the runway into something that felt more like an art show than a fashion show.

Anderson always brings something special to accessories and this show was no different. Old pieces of chintz fabric decorated some of the bags, including the Petit Diner and mini Lady Dior. Chintz is a printed fabric with a long history in Indian design and Anderson has been studying the fabric closely.

Four new bags were made with Benglis. One of them, the Dior Cigale, has a shiny pleated finish. The Dior Bow bag also returned.

Necklaces were bold and colourful made in Jaipur and Rajasthan using materials like mother of pearl and green onyx. There was even a silver bag shaped like an armadillo, with people calling it the “arm-dior-illo bag”. But the biggest hit was the hats. Each one was pleated and shaped differently, matching the sculptural feel of the whole show.

This show comes soon after big news about Anderson. It was confirmed that Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce wore custom Dior by Jonathan Anderson outfits for their wedding in New York. Between that moment and back-to-back strong couture shows, Anderson is having a huge year.

Since joining Dior, Anderson has managed to respect the brand’s history while still making it feel fresh and fun. This new collection shows he’s not slowing down.
