South African gospel singer, Khaya Mthethwa, who is in New York for work was apparently kicked out of a New York hotel, which he is staying in for allegedly walking around barefoot.
The singer took to twitter to complain about the incident, he also alluded that profane language was used during the altercation.
It’s reported by the Sunday Sun that the singer went to a nearby restaurant down the road barefoot and upon his return, he was told that walking around barefoot was seen as “foul language” and was subsequently asked to leave.
After the incident he tweeted: "When is walking barefoot a crime??? So I was kicked out of a hotel in time square for being barefoot! Foul language and all!"
However he didn’t let the incident put him down as he went onto perform at the Bethel Gospel Academy, later on.
