Just weeks after being reportedly diagnosed with a brain tumour, Kwaito luminary Mduduzi Tshabalala, also known as Mandoza, has fallen asleep in the cradle of death.
The legendary muso leaves a remarkable chain of history with multi-platinum hits like Nkalakatha, Godoba and Sgelekeqe, not to mention the hit collab with Danny K on Same Difference.
Mandoza unleashed his true potential after forming a kwaito group called ‘Chiskop’ with three of his childhood friends.
The kwaito star also became a screen-hit after participating in a kwaito documentary SHARP! SHARP! – the kwaito story, directed by Aryan Kaganof and the 2006 rugby drama, Number 10.
And after weeks of relentless praying and speedy-recovery wishes, Mandoza has finally rested at age 38.
Danny K including other top celebrities and artists of different genres took to twitter to pour their heartfelt condolences to the legend’s family and loved ones.
