Millions of South Africans remain shaken over the sad news that a local gospel sensation, Sifiso Ncwane has entered upon an eternal Sabbath of rest.
According to the Ncwane family spokesperson, Mhlo Gumede, Sfiso died on Monday morning after being rushed to Fourways Life hospital on Sunday night, where he was treated for kidney problems.
As the nation grapples to accept the death of gospel star Sfiso Ncwane, it has emerged that his wife, Ayanda was by his side until the end.
"He unfortunately took his last breath at 9.30 am on Monday morning in the presence and arms of his loving wife Ayanda Ncwane," the family said in a press statement.
In 2013, the Kulungile Baba singer made history by becoming first gospel singer to win Record of the Year award at the South African Music Awards.
His death has seen celebrities like Pearl Thusi, Kamohelo Bombe (Shift) and even the President of South Africa send their deepest condolences on social media.
‘’Still hoping this isn’t true. What a kind and sweet man. The coolest person I’ve ever met (heart emoji). Go and sing for the angels our brother,’’ posted Pearl Thusi on Facebook.
