5 Seconds of Summer guitarists Michael Clifford took a nasty spill during a television performance… landing him completely off the stage. watch video here 

 

Clifford and his band were performing at the Radio 1 teen Awards in London on Sunday. In a video that went viral, you can see him jump up with his guitar and misjudging his landing… ending up on the face of the earth.

 

Bear in mind that this is not the first time Michael has had some bad luck on set. In June 2013, the guitarist walked into a pyrotechnical display that shot fire up from the stage. He suffered burn injuries on the head.          

 

Luckily this time around he was OK and got back up to finish the show. When asked about the incident after the interview he joked and said, "I was looking at Rita Ora and I was like…hey…and I fell."
