Music duo Blaq Diamond have teamed up with the well known South African record label Ambitiouz Entertainment to launch a new label called Umuthi Records. Ambitiouz announced on Twitter that a new chapter has begun as they announced their partnership with Blaq Diamond on the new label Umuthi Records and they said “ a new chapter has begun!”
Ndumiso Mdletshe and Sphelele Dunywa do music that is a fuse Maskandi, Mbube and other traditional elements into their pop-leaning iteration of afro soul, and they are currently signed to the record label that has created superstars in Mzansi and is also known badly for how they treat some of their stars.
Blaq Diamond is a duo that is well known for making hits songs such as Ibhanoyi, Love Letter and Memeza this year Blaq Diamond released their sophomore album Umuthi, which follows their 2017 debut album Inqola.
The record label, Ambitiouz has helped shape some of the biggest careers in music such as Emtee, Sjava and Amanda Black to name a few and whilst they have created award-winning artists they have also hogged headlines for the treatment of their artists.
The record label has introduced their first signee and amazing songstress who already has her first single out Emlanjeni. The song is said to be available on all music platforms for listening and downloading.
