Lizzo, Shania Twain and Harry Styles were among the artists who also brought dazzling fashion to the music industry’s biggest night.
A week of apparently nonstop celebrations culminated Sunday night at L.A.’s Crypto.com Arena with the 2023 Grammys, and as usual, music’s greatest artists did not hold back as they embraced bold red-carpet style.
A-listers sported a wealth of unabashed fashion that has become a hallmark of this event, from Taylor Swift in a two-piece gown by Roberto Cavalli’s Fausto Puglisi to Harry Styles in a custom harlequin-patterned jumpsuit by Paris-based EgonLab and Lizzo in custom Dolce & Gabbana with a stunning opera coat.
Although Oscar night is known as the Super Bowl of fashion, the overall tone of the event is indisputably sophisticated and elegant. Viewers never know how far nominated musicians and guests will push the boundaries of crazy, high-wattage outfits to generate wow moments at the Grammys.
Unlike most award shows, the Grammys have become an event where multiple changes by artists are now expected — not only from the red carpet to the performance, but sometimes just because they can, similar to a bride who wears one gown for the ceremony, another for the reception, and yet another for the after party. It’s a valid question as to whether fashion brands are realizing a return on their investment when these multiple, expensive looks are provided free of charge.
Who sparked a social media frenzy as they walked the 2023 Grammys red carpet on Sunday night? Here are the singers and personalities that nailed the look-at-me look at the 65th Annual Grammy Awards.
