Bacardi star Karabo Kakhu, known as Jelly Babie, who faced backlash, lost followers and brand partnerships after a video surfaced of her cursing a cashier at a Big Save supermarket.
The 18-year-old from Mabopane in Tshwane came under fire for her behaviour in the video, where she insulted the cashier, accusing her of being disrespectful. The incident has disappointed many, leading to a loss of respect for Jelly Babie among some.
Big Save has suspended the cashier while investigating the incident, emphasizing their commitment to employee rights and well-being. They have called for accountability from Jelly Babie and urged her to publicly apologize to the employee and the company.
Furthermore, Jelly Babie’s partnership with P Squared Beauty Parlour has ended due to the video, with the salon stating that her behavior does not align with their values.
Jelly Babie has since apologised to the cashier, Ms Martha, and even to Big Save.
