Selena Gomez has touched nearly every facet of the entertainment industry, from acting to singing to even producing a Netflix show. And now, the multitalented star can add “makeup artist” to her resume, sis is unstoppable.

 

Selena covers Allure’s October 2020 “Best in Beauty” issue wearing her very own Rare Beauty makeup line, which she applied on her own for the shoot.

 

Under the direction of celebrity makeup artist Hung Vanngo, Gomez created a simple look using Rare Beauty’s Liquid Blush in Grace, Positive Light Liquid Luminizer in Enchant and Lip Souffle Matte Lip Cream in Inspire to go with her black LaQuan Smith dress and Michael Schmidt floral headband.

 

Though Gomez has been formulating these beauty products for two years, she’s still honing her application skills — and admitted to feeling the pressure for her socially distanced cover shoot.

 

“I had never done that before,” she told the magazine. “I was a little stressed. I was definitely proud to be wearing [Rare Beauty]. I was just like, ‘I hope I did this right.’”

 

And when it came to naming her company, Gomez decided to celebrate her own unique qualities as well as those of her fans and the diverse makeup community. “I had always wanted the name Rare. [The word] has become the identity of my brand and who I want to be, which is showing people that being diverse and different, whatever was happening, I wanted it to feel like you were included,” she said.

 

Now, with the help of her new products, anyone can be a master makeup artist.
