We know that there’s nothing so irritating than KK’s laugh in Muvhango, but whether we like it or not, the character serves a very important role in our entertainment systems.
Muvhango actor Macdonald Ndou probably can't go out in public and get normal celeb screams without someone confusing him for his character KK. But what if we told you that it wasn't always like this?
In a reported executed by Daily Sun this week, Macdonald reveals that there was a time when he had to work as a griller at Wimpy just to make ends meet…after all, every successful celebrity has a poor background story to tell.
“I wanted to be closer to my dream of being a full-time actor but my phone didn’t ring a lot,” he says.
“I went back to the theatre and I did radio dramas on Phalaphala FM. I later trained to be an actor at the University of Venda and then studied stage performance at the State Theatre,” the Muvhango adds.
Through these, and several other experiences, Macdonald has developed a humble nature that is very different to his flashy and cunning on-screen character, KK.
“I’m reserved. I wear jeans, tekkies and T-shirts. I can walk into a room and no one will even notice that I’m there,” he says.
“KK’s way of laughing only happens on set. I’ve never had KK’s rhythm and I never feel that I rule the world. KK is a cheater who uses people,” he adds.
‘’Hard-work, patience and passion are a great combination to success,’’ E-SA added.
